Myer – The HUB
This centre was created to generate cohesion between Myer’s in-store and online services, bringing them together in one central hub. Consequently, this would eliminate the need for customers to travel to various floors to access different services, removing the pain ridden activities of in-store shopping to create a more customer friendly shopping experience.
The Hub’ incorporated technology and customer service together, making the shopping experience more exciting than ever! The design is clean, light and minimal. The inclusion of technology further emphasises a modern, contemporary feel, rather than a traditional retail environment. The colour pallet is predominately gloss white with beech timber, though pinks and greys in the tetromine shaped furniture soften the space. The classic Myer black and white stands-out ensuring integration of the brand elements, as does the contemporary pendant that acts as a beacon over the service desk. The layout is open and inviting, forming a walkway through the centre of the area to encourage foot-traffic. The digital wall displayed the new range, the services offered and videos from the Myer fashion show. An interactive digital touch table featured content from the apparel and homewares categories. Digital waterfall screens located at both entrances featured information about the available services.
The Hub has had a tremendous impact on the customer experience! Customer feedback indicates that customers are enjoying all services in the one high profile convenient location. In the first 4 weeks 100% of customers reported that they are now more aware of the services Myer offer and 100% indicated that they would return to the Hub!
