Components for pools are generally scattered around the pool stores making it difficult for consumers to work out what they needed. Many people did not understand what the requirements were to setup or maintain a proper, healthy functioning pool system. “Solutions for water” is the basis for Davey – the brand. The Umbrella Pool Party display was designed to capture the fun of summer and playing in the pool. Impact at store was essential to capture the consumer’s interest and provide an easy solution. A total solution all bundled together. [This is “all you need” to get started and enjoy the summer! It’s fun!] This total solution provided the consumer with confidence and was visible on the one display.

CREATIVE CONCEPT
Designed to celebrate the play element within a swimming pool by introducing a water slide, ladder and umbrella, this display glorifies the Davey pump products in a fun free standing display. Strong blues and yellow scream summer and stand out in the
retail environment.

MATERIALS & MANUFACTURING PROCESSES
Type and construction of display material: MDF carcass with polypropylene base wrap, Vac-formed hips slide and steel platforms for products and steel ladder. Foam PVC umbrella Function and use of retail space: Display is functional as an island or wall display with impact around all 360 degrees Ease of display erection by trade: pre-assembled and sent to retail as a complete unit.

The Results:
Sales grew above market expectations in a market that had seen plenty of rain and a minimal summer. Enquiries and sales were constant from consumers either upgrading their existing systems, to purchasing an entire pool and operating system.
